Aerobic Foundations — Your ability to sustain effort for 8+ hours on the mountain starts with building the right engine first. You’ll learn your MAF threshold, aerobic threshold, and lactate threshold — and how to train each zone to develop an aerobic base that doesn’t burn out halfway up.
Breathing & CO2 Tolerance — At 14,000 feet, your body has access to roughly 60% of the oxygen available at sea level. This module covers nasal breathing, the Bohr effect, and specific breathwork protocols — CO2 tables, O2 tables, and box breathing — that train your body to use oxygen more efficiently before you ever leave home.
Biomechanics & Movement Efficiency — Inefficient movement burns energy you can’t afford to waste. You’ll work through tensegrity principles, posture mechanics, and mountain-specific drills — single-leg balance, lunge RNT, hinge and squat patterns, crawling — that reduce wasted effort with every step.
Strength & Resilience — Strength builds the capacity to handle heavy packs, hard moves, and technical terrain without breaking down. The program includes upper body, core, and lower body work targeted at the specific demands of mountain climbing.

Training volume builds progressively across the 10 weeks. Recovery weeks (Weeks 3, 6, and 9) run about 2–3 hours of aerobic work. Base-building weeks range from 4.5 to 8 hours. Peak weeks can exceed that. Biomechanics and breathwork sessions are additional but generally short — 20–45 minutes. The program includes a day-by-day schedule, so you always know exactly what’s on deck.
